  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine water, butter, and salt, and bring to a boil.
  3. Add the flour and stir until the mixture pulls away from the sides of the pan.
  4. Remove from heat, let it cool slightly, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  6. Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
  7. Pipe 4 to 6-inch strips onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Combine sugar and cinnamon in a bowl, and roll warm churros in the mixture.
