Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and cinnamon. Add butter, then the yeast mixture.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth. Let it rise in a warm place, covered, for 1 hour.
  4. Roll the dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
  5. Roll the dough tightly and slice into rolls. Place in a greased pan and let rise again for 30 minutes.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Drizzle with icing after cooling slightly.
