- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- In a small bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and cinnamon. Add butter, then the yeast mixture.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth. Let it rise in a warm place, covered, for 1 hour.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
- Roll the dough tightly and slice into rolls. Place in a greased pan and let rise again for 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Drizzle with icing after cooling slightly.
