  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • Corn tortillas for serving
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish
  • Chopped onion for garnish
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, season beef with salt, cumin, chili powder, and black pepper.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, then pour in beef broth.
  3. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 2 hours or until beef is tender.
  4. Remove beef from the pot, shred it, and return it to the broth.
  5. Heat tortillas on a pan, add shredded beef, and top with cilantro and chopped onion.
  6. Serve with lime wedges on the side.
