- 1 large head of cabbage
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 6 slices turkey bacon
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and crumble.
- Add ground turkey to the skillet and cook until browned.
- Stir in cooked rice, tomato sauce, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and crumbled bacon. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, chop the cabbage and blanch it in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until softened.
- Layer half the cabbage in a greased baking dish, add the turkey mixture, and top with remaining cabbage.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add some shredded cheese on top before baking.
- Make sure to season the turkey mixture well.
