Cajun Chicken and Shrimp Alfredo

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Season the chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning, then add to the skillet. Cook until browned and cooked through, then remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the shrimp and cook until pink and cooked through.
  5. Reduce the heat and pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine.
  6. Add the Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
  7. Toss in the cooked fettuccine and sliced chicken, coating everything with the sauce.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the level of Cajun seasoning to your preference for spiciness.
  • For a lighter version, you can use half and half instead of heavy cream.
