Chicken Sausage, Broccoli, and Orzo Skillet

A delicious and healthy one-pan meal combining chicken sausage, fresh broccoli, and tender orzo.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken sausage
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 cup orzo
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chicken sausage and cook until browned.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  3. Stir in broccoli and cook for 3 minutes.
  4. Add orzo and chicken broth to the skillet. Bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat and let simmer until orzo is cooked, about 10-12 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper before serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider adding parmesan cheese at the end.
  • Use any sausage of your choice for variation.
