Chicken Tikka Masala

A delicious and flavorful take on the traditional chicken tikka masala, perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 pound chicken breast, diced
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the diced chicken in yogurt, garam masala, turmeric, and cumin for at least 1 hour.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan, add chopped onion, and sauté until golden.
  3. Add garlic and ginger, cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add marinated chicken and cook until browned.
  5. Stir in crushed tomatoes and sugar, simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and cook for another 5 minutes.
  7. Season with salt to taste and serve hot.
