Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until smooth.
  4. Add in the vanilla extract and eggs, and mix until well combined.
  5. Gradually blend in the flour mixture.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  8. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool on the cookie sheets for 2 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
