  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 2 cups fresh raspberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Stir in the boiling water.
  4. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  5. Once cooled, layer the cakes with fresh raspberries and chocolate frosting.
