Dump and Go Crockpot Jambalaya

  • 1 pound turkey bacon
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1 cup diced bell pepper
  • 2 cups diced tomatoes
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups uncooked rice
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup sliced green onions
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined

Instructions

  1. In a large crockpot, layer turkey bacon, onion, bell pepper, and tomatoes.
  2. Pour in the chicken broth and add the uncooked rice.
  3. Stir in Cajun seasoning and mix well.
  4. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. In the last 30 minutes of cooking, add shrimp and stir.
  6. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
