Easy Shepherd's Pie

A delicious twist on the classic shepherd’s pie, featuring turkey bacon for a comforting meal.

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then remove and chop.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté onions and garlic until translucent.
  4. Add ground turkey and cook until browned.
  5. Stir in vegetables, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and bacon; season with salt and pepper.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
  7. Spread mashed potatoes over the turkey mixture.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
