Easy Shepherd’s Pie

An easy and delicious take on the classic shepherd’s pie, featuring turkey bacon and a unique twist that enhances the flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 1 cup mashed potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the turkey bacon in a skillet until crispy, then chop and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the ground turkey and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in the frozen peas and carrots, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Spread the turkey mixture in a baking dish and top with mashed potatoes.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add cheese on top before baking.
  • Feel free to substitute with other vegetables such as corn or green beans.
