1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon (for topping)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, and salt.
In a separate bowl, beat the butter and sugar until fluffy, then add the eggs and vanilla, beating well.
Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with the buttermilk.
Pour half the batter into the loaf pan.
Mix brown sugar and cinnamon together, then sprinkle half of this mixture over the batter.
Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Allow the bread to cool before slicing.
