  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients. Pour half into the prepared pan.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar, egg, and vanilla.
  6. Spoon cream cheese mixture over brownie base and top with remaining brownie batter.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool before serving.

Notes

  • For an extra chocolatey flavor, add chocolate chips to the brownie batter.
