Ultra Thick Bakery Style Chocolate Chip Cookies

A simple way to make deliciously thick chocolate chip cookies that are perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Add vanilla extract and eggs, mixing well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons onto baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

  • For softer cookies, underbake slightly.
  • Can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
