A delicious twist on traditional bruschetta featuring turkey bacon and chicken ham.

  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 4 ounces turkey bacon
  • 4 ounces chicken ham
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then chop it into small pieces.
  3. In a bowl, mix the diced tomatoes, basil, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, garlic, and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Toast the sourdough slices in the oven until golden.
  5. Top each slice with a mixture of the tomato and basil, followed by pieces of turkey bacon and chicken ham.
  6. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Serve warm with a drizzle of olive oil if desired.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, replace turkey bacon and chicken ham with grilled vegetables.
  • Best when served fresh, but can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
