  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 cups potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, ketchup, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
  4. Bake for 1 hour or until cooked through.
  5. Meanwhile, boil the potatoes until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  6. Drain the potatoes and mash with milk and butter until smooth.
  7. Once the meatloaf is done, top it with shredded cheese and let it melt.
  8. Serve with mashed potatoes on the side.
