  • 3 star anise

  • 4 cloves
  • 1 pound rice noodles
  • 2 cups bean sprouts
  • 1 bunch fresh basil
  • 1 lime (cut into wedges)
  • 2 green onions (sliced)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a simmer.
  2. Add chicken, onion, star anise, cinnamon, and cloves. Simmer for about 20-30 minutes.
  3. Remove chicken, shred it, and set aside.
  4. Strain the broth and return it to the pot.
  5. Cook rice noodles according to package instructions and add to bowls.
  6. Pour broth over the noodles and top with shredded chicken, bean sprouts, basil, and green onions.
  7. Serve with lime wedges.
